I bought this book last Wednesday from the author in the US and it arrived today! That's the same amount of time that it took Kerrie's parcel to travel about 100 miles.
Selbuvotter is written by Terri Shea who became fascinated with Selbu mittens while cataloguing a collection at the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle.
The patterns in the book are stunning! They were traditionally knit with a black pattern on a white background but there is a lot of scope for being creative with your colour combinations. :-)
I've only had a quick flick through so far but I can already hear the siren call of a new pair of mittens and I have suitable stash...
You can buy a copy here. My copy is number 330 of 500 and is signed by Terri. :-)
